Both the car park and shopping centre will reopen with numerous changes. The centre will manage and monitor the number of people in the centre at any one time via security, and individual stores will manage the amount of customers in-store, and ensure social distancing takes place.

The centre has also removed all seating and only single people or those from the same household can use the centre’s lift at a time. Signs have also been laid throughout the centre, keeping shoppers aware of the two-metre distancing rule as well as the new ‘keep left’ policy.

In addition to these measurements, centre staff are following the government cleaning and disinfection guidance relevant to the control of Covid-19.

Julie Webb, Grosvenor Shopping Centre manager, said: “We are looking forward to reopening and welcoming back customers on Monday with the new measures in place.

“The safety and welfare of all of our occupiers and visitors is paramount to us which is why a Covid-19 risk assessment has been undertaken and measures have been put in place with safety at the forefront of our minds.”
